It seems that a lot of the offers I mentioned are for the US only. 
I posted a question on the forums about that (which earned me 0.25 game credits!)

About points and game credits: 

• you can cash out points via Paypal with 1point = $1
• you can use game credits (GC) to play games (right now only "what's the word" is available).

Right now I have 0.26 points and 0.81 GC.
What's the Word is a game where you have to guess the word and every guess is 2 GC... So i guess I have to wait before I can try it.
